Sundays - Gospel Project

The Gospel Project is a Christ-centered, chronological curriculum that provides theologically rich lessons, in an age-aware manner. On Sunday, our children's ministry uses this curriculum, from preschoolers to fifth grade. This study is also used in two of our adult classes. Participants study from the same section of Scripture.

The Gospel Project at Home provides family discipleship that aligns with what your kids are learning at church!

Wednesdays - New City <i>Catechism</i>

Wednesdays - New City Catechism

The New City Catechism for Kids takes children through 52 questions and answers which teach them foundational doctrines of the Christian faith.  A catechism takes the doctrine and theology taught from the whole of Scripture and narrows it down to key questions and answers.  This doctrine and theology grounds our thinking and gives proper understanding as we live life, read Scripture, and learn biblical narratives through the Gospel Project on Sundays.

Why Catechism?

Children's Ministry Safety Policies

All staff & volunteers working with minors are required to be members of Emmanuel Baptist Church and complete Emmanuel's Ministry Safety Steps.  The ministry safety steps include a written application, references, background check, and video training on our Child Protection Policy and Procedures.

Kids are electronically checked in and receive a name tag, and parents get a corresponding security tag. A parent or guardian must drop their kids off. After the service, kids will only be released to the individual who has the correct security tag.  Parents of babies to preschoolers also receive a buzzer that allows the teachers to call parents if needed.

The children's wing has one entrance, and a security team member present at that point. The classrooms are in a hallway, and each one has windows that allow you to see inside the class.  Once the main service begins, the main entrance doors to the ekidz wing are closed, and only parents picking children up can enter.

The check in process allows parents to alert children's ministry volunteers to any significant allergy or medical need or concern.

Every classroom will always have at minimum two adult, child ministry certified volunteers present.

A member of the security team is present during check in and check out, and during the service, they do walk-throughs of the ekidz wing.
